vol.03 「私たちと、時間。」
私たちは、「コーヒーを通して素晴らしい時間を届ける」ことを理念に、すべての活動を行っています。
なぜ私たちが、これほどまでに「時間」にこだわるのか。
それは、時間というものが、当たり前のように過ぎ去り、二度と戻ってこない、かけがえのないものだからです。そして同時に、すべての人に等しく与えられているギフトでもあるからです。
その時間をどう使うかは、一人ひとりに委ねられています。
有意義に使うのか、怠惰に過ごすのか。投資するのか、浪費するのか。
自分自身の時間の使い方は、とても大切なものです。そしてそれは、相手の時間についても同じことが言えます。
誰かの時間に関わるということは、それだけで小さくない責任を伴います。私たちは日々、お客様の時間の一部をお預かりしながら、事業を営んでいるのです。
個人であれ、法人であれ、企業が存在する意味は、お客様の問題を解決することにあると思います。
けれど、コーヒーショップやカフェという業態で、お客様の抱える問題そのものを解決することは、簡単ではないかもしれません。
それでも、一杯のコーヒーが生み出す時間には、ある種、無限大とも言える価値があると思うのです。
コーヒーそのものが特別な意味を持つわけではありません。ただ、その人だけの時間が在る。それをより良いものにするきっかけになれるということ。
静かな朝、これから始まる一日に向けて気持ちを整える一杯。
より深く自分自身と対話するための一杯。
大切な人に贈る言葉に想いを巡らせながら飲む一杯。
何かをやり遂げた後、自分をそっとねぎらうための一杯。
同じ一杯のコーヒーでも、そこに流れる時間の中身は、飲む人の数だけ違います。私たちがつくっているのは、コーヒーという飲み物であると同時に、そこに在る、その人だけの時間をより良いものにするための、小さなきっかけなのだと思っています。
私たちにできるのは、その時間を少しでも良いものにしていただくために、美味しいコーヒーをつくることです。お店に足を運んでくださる時間にも、おうちで一杯を淹れる時間にも、同じように丁寧に寄り添えるよう、細部にまでこだわった空間をつくり、人の想いをきちんと伝え、温度のある店であり続けたいと思っています。
一杯のコーヒーの向こうに、それぞれの時間があります。
今日も、誰かのかけがえのない時間に、そっと寄り添えていますように。

vol.03 "Time, and Us."
At Filter Supply, everything we do is guided by one belief: to deliver wonderful time through coffee.
Why do we care so much about time?
Because time passes, quietly and constantly, and never comes back. It's irreplaceable. And at the same time, it's a gift given equally to everyone.
How that time is spent is left entirely up to each person. Spent meaningfully, or wasted. Invested, or squandered. How we use our own time matters deeply. And the same is true of someone else's time.
To take part in someone else's time is to carry a quiet kind of responsibility. Every day, we're entrusted with a piece of our customers' time as we run this business.
Whether personal or corporate, we believe a business exists to solve problems for the people it serves. But in a coffee shop, that kind of problem-solving isn't always so simple.
And yet, the time that a single cup of coffee creates holds a value that feels almost limitless. The coffee itself isn't what matters. What matters is that a person's own time exists there — and that we might, in some small way, help make it better.
A quiet morning, a cup to settle the mind before the day begins.
A cup for turning inward, for a conversation with yourself.
A cup sipped slowly while choosing the right words for someone you care about.
A cup to quietly thank yourself after seeing something through.
Even the same cup of coffee holds a different kind of time for every person who drinks it. What we make isn't only coffee — it's a small beginning for the time that already belongs to each person, ours only to help make a little better.
What we can do is simple: make coffee worth drinking. Whether someone spends that time in our shop or at home with a cup they've brewed themselves, we want to meet it with the same care — through spaces built with attention to every detail, through the thought we put into what we share, and by staying, always, a place with warmth.
There is time beyond every cup of coffee.
Today, too, we hope to quietly stand beside someone's irreplaceable time.
